Patrice Plank Wildlife and Nature Artist

Patrice has made Vancouver Island, British Columbia her home for the past several years.  Inspired by nature, Patrice captures the surrounding beauty in her art. Her favorite subjects include birds, butterflies, dragonflies, animals, flowers and marine life.

Being an artist all her life, her past  primary media was oil painting.  She has since fallen in love with clayboard scratch art and has been dedicated to this medium for the past eight years.  Patrice scratches her original art into the surface of the clayboard with very delicate tools and using a magnifier, reveals the design in exquisite detail in shades of black and white. She then paints her art with special watercolors or acrylics. 

 Patrice is a member of the West Shore Arts Council.  Her scratch art has won numerous awards and her art is included in private collections throughout Canada, the U.S., Europe and Asia.  Her art may be seen at the Side Street Studio on Oak Bay Avenue in Oak Bay, BC, and downtown Victoria, BC on Humboldt St.  You may also find her art displayed at The Sooke Harbour House, Sooke, BC.
